Eastern Yellow Robin

Eopsaltria australis

Eastern Yellow Robin (Eopsaltria australis) varies in size up to 16cm with a typical plump robin shape with an upper surface all grey. The underparts from throat to underrated coverts are bright yellow with a bright yellow rump.

Of all the small birds around the Sunshine Coast, this robin is one of the most familiar. Inquisitive, friendly and may often seem fearless - he may wish to be your gardening assistant when you are kidding over soil and exposing fat, juicy worms!
